Spanish Culinary Adventures

‘Movida – Spanish Culinary Adventures’ is the first of three books we have designed for the acclaimed collection of Australian Movida restaurants. Executive Chef and owner Frank Camorra, now has five establishments in both Melbourne and Sydney, in which he has been fundamental in helping introduce authentic Spanish cuisine to the Australian dining scene. We were asked to design a book that illustrated their unique approach to food and capture the vibrasnt energy for which they have become so well-known. The fold-out jacket becomes a large graphic poster that outlines the foundation of the name ‘Movida’. We then used fine uncoated stock and unconventional binding methods to create a very tactile product. With commissioned photography by Alan Benson, the solution is bold and refined to represent the ‘Movida’ style, colourful inner city location, the people, and of course, their incredible food.
